Eligibility

To enter and remain on the NT Rural Generalist Program training pathway participants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in their final year of an Australian accredited medical degree with demonstrated rural experience and future intent to live and practise as a rural generalist in a rural or remote area.
  • Be employed in the NT as a prevocational/vocational rural trainee and allocated a placement in rural or remote Northern Territory.
  • Be employed in the NT as a medical practitioner in rural or remote Northern Territory with future intent and commitment to live and practise as a rural generalist.
  • Be enrolled in a rural generalist specialist training program (RACGP/ACRRM) in Australia.
