2026 GPRA NT GP/RG registrar scholarships open
General Practice Registrars Australia (GPRA) offers a range of scholarships to help build the future GP/RG workforce in the Northern Territory.
The scholarships celebrate GP and RG registrars who are committed to:
- First Nations health
- rural and remote healthcare
- paediatrics.
The 2026 NT scholarships program is now open for applications.
Applications close 24 April 2026.
Scholarships include:

The $10,000 award is presented annually to one GP/RG registrar enrolled in a GP training program in the NT.

2 × $5,000 scholarships awarded in 2026 to 2 GP/RG registrars enrolled in a GP training program in the NT.

3 × $5,000 scholarships awarded in 2026 to 3 GP/RG registrars enrolled in the AGPT training program in the NT.

2 × $20,000 scholarships awarded in 2026–27 to 2 GP/RG registrars outside the NT to relocate to the NT for 2 consecutive training semesters (12 months), or who have just relocated to the NT for 12 months.
