Applications are now open for the John Flynn Prevocational Doctor Program Auxiliary Funding Scheme. Funding is available for initiatives that enhance rural medical training and workforce development in the NT. Apply by 26 October 2025.

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the John Flynn Prevocational Doctor Program (JFPDP) Auxiliary Funding Scheme.

The scheme provides funding to support innovative projects, education initiatives, training opportunities and rural and remote workforce development. This opportunity is open to both NT Health and non-NT Health entities involved in Rural Generalist/General Practitioner training and health service provision who can demonstrate alignment with JFPDP aims.

26 October 2025

Funding available

Maximum $100 000 per initiative/application except for 12 month training terms which can be funded to the full amount.
