NT Remote Research Outreach Trips
Express and interest and register to join an NT Research Outreach Professional Development Trip funded by Doctors for the NT with the NT Point of Care Testing Program.

Maningrida

Groote Eylandt
- o 2-day trip, week starting either 10th or 24th March 2025
- o Accommodation at the resort
During the remote health centre visits the prevocational doctor could
- See the health centre (do a brief tour)
- Meet the clinic staff (AHPs RANs and RMP if on-site)
- Be shown the various POCT devices in the clinic and some examples of what they are used for
- Potentially see an POCT device in action
- Be a spectator to POCT training
- Do a casual walk and/or drive around the community
- Visit the local arts centre
- Hear about some current remote health research
The aim of the sponsorship is to have exposure to clinical and research processes and practices, to have a richer experience of the NT medical landscape and to gain a greater appreciation of the importance of community health.
